CELINE is a Horizon Europe research and innovation project building a harmonised digital framework for renewable energy communities (RECs). It enables citizens, businesses, and local authorities to co-manage local energy resources — from production and consumption to peer-to-peer trading and community governance.
What CELINE builds
Energy communities are reshaping the energy landscape, but they need tools. CELINE delivers:

CELINE is validated in three real energy communities across Europe:
- Spain — Valencia, coordinated by SAPIENS and CIMNE
- Italy — managed by Green Land and Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK)
- Finland — City of Lappeenranta, with LUT University
